Mission Statement THE MISSION OF THE CREDIT UNION IS ...... MAFCU is a non-profit financial institution owned by its members. We are here to provide a cost-free, life long benefit of quality financial products, convenience, and personal service to our membership and their families, so be sure to take advantage of all our services. Individuals eligible for MAFCU membership include: Persons,who live, work, worship, or attend school in and businesses and other legal entities located in Monroe County. How To Join To join MAFCU, you are required to open a Regular Share Savings account with a minimum of $5.00 deposit. This $5.00 equals one share of MAFCU ownership and entitles you to vote for our Board of Directors and any other credit union business that requires membership approval. Regardless of the amount in your Regular Share Savings account, only one vote is permitted per member, over the age of 18. To maintain your membership and your voting rights, $5.00 must remain on deposit in your Regular Share Savings account at all times. As long as you comply with this regulation and do not cause a loss to the credit union, once you are a member you are always a MAFCU member! Click here to apply for MAFCU membership. Membership is for life! If you change jobs, relocate, or retire, you retain your membership as long as your account remains in good standing.
